Stormwater drainage construction

Standing water and rainwater collecting on a property pose immediate and long-term threats to the safety of the building and the landscaping. Uncontrolled moisture leads to structural damage, foundation erosion, soil slippage and landscape deformation. A professionally built drainage system is an essential step towards a durable property, dry foundations and a comfortable environment.

Why is stormwater
drainage needed?

01

Foundation protection

All wastewater from the house flows through a pipe into the first chamber of the septic tank, where the slow flow rate starts the mechanical treatment process.

02

Landscaping

Prevents puddles forming on the lawn, in the garden or on paved surfaces.

03

Longer-lasting paving

Correct water drainage stops frost from lifting paving stones or washing out their base.

04

Legal
compliance

Many municipalities prohibit discharging rainwater into the household sewer network – we build a separate system that complies with the rules.

How stormwater drainage is built

Site survey

We assess the terrain, soil, connection points and wastewater discharge options.

Choosing the solution

We choose the most suitable rainwater drainage system for the specifics of the site.

Construction and connections

We build the lines (trenches, crushed stone), pipes, inspection/collection chambers and sand traps, and connect the roof gutters and linear drains.

Testing and site restoration

We test the system and restore the site.

Frequently asked questions

Can rainwater be discharged into a ditch?
Discharging rainwater into a ditch is only allowed in certain cases. If the ditch belongs to the municipality or the state, approval from the relevant authority is needed. You must also make sure no harm is done to neighbouring properties or the environment. Infiltrating rainwater on your own plot is often a safer and more sustainable solution than discharging it directly into a ditch.
What is an infiltration well?
An infiltration well is a special structure designed to collect rainwater and let it soak gradually into the ground. It helps relieve the drainage system and prevents surface water from collecting in the yard. Infiltration wells are especially effective in areas with permeable soil and are an eco-friendly solution that meets modern construction requirements.
What should I do if water stands in the yard after every rain?
If water regularly stands in the yard, the drainage is insufficient or incorrect. In that case we recommend:nnassessing the terrain and soil composition;nnchecking whether the existing drainage works at all;nninstalling drainage;nnif needed, building an infiltration well or rainwater collection system.nnSolving the problem in time protects not only the yard but also the house foundations.
Will drainage help the foundations?
Yes – drainage is one of the most important elements in protecting foundations. It carries excess moisture away from the building, reducing the risk of foundation cracks, moisture build-up and heat loss. A properly built drainage system significantly extends the life of a building and reduces future repair costs.
